THE Mountain

I live in a land full of mountains and I have visited most of them. But there is one, only one, which makes me feel a sentiment of awe and wonder. I suppose people who believe in God must feel the same when they confront the Deity.

For me this majestic Mountain radiating power, serenity and eternity, is the nearest approximation to God. I visited it this weekend and return from my pilgrimage full of a meaning I do not understand. But it comforts me.

Quietus

So now I have closed down all my other blogs and float in a sea of interactive silence. Only light and darkness, day and night, vary.

"And can a man his own quietus make...?". Yes, you can. And you don't need a bodkin...

Love in the morning

Most days I wake up with a foretaste of death. Some days (a few) I wake up with a craving for love. Then I turn around and reach for her body. Wake her up with a caress.

These are the days I like. I feel alive and young. But, as time goes by, they become more scarce.

Ha!

So much for New Year's resolutions...

I am wishing myself. I don't suppose there is any one else around. Should there be one - well my wishes extend to everybody present.
